FAQ's

// FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT ARE YOUR COVID PROCEDURES?

I carefully follow the CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19. All my team is required to wear protective masks throughout the event or session and will maintain 6 feet distance whenever possible. I’ll follow quarantine procedures as needed if travel is required.

WHAT’S IT LIKE TO WORK WITH YOU?

I hope you can feel my vibe through this website or my social media. What matters most to me is giving you a fun, relaxed and unforgettable experience. The finished product is a mix of a photojournalistic style that captures real moments and emotions with a classic style that documents the timeless and traditional. Here you can read many reviews by my past clients that can give you an even better idea of what it's like to work with me. I'm proud to say that many of them still message me on Instagram, we sometimes run into each other at other weddings and some have hired me for other types of sessions.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE AND HOW?

The maximum turnaround time for you photos is six weeks, but I always do my best to send you your gallery as quickly as possible. The gallery is a private webpage that you can only see if you have a link to it. You can send that link to as many people as you want. Anyone with access to the gallery can order prints through the gallery from a professional laboratory and they can be mailed directly to your home.

As far as the photos, I never skimp on the number of photos I edit. I only discard photos that are basically duplicates of another, better photo or that have some technical flaw. You can expect around 80 photos per hour of coverage, possibly more if you hire a second photographer. You will also receive a sneak peak of the best moments from your wedding within a week, (but shh, don't tell anyone. I like for this to be a surprise!)

HOW DO WE FIGURE OUT HOW MANY HOURS OF COVERAGE WE NEED?

Each wedding is unique so we will work together to select a package that best suits your day. 8 hours is a great starting point. Extra hours can be added even on the day of your wedding.

WHEN SHOULD WE CONSIDER ADDING A SECOND SHOOTER TO OUR PACKAGE?

It’s often recommended that couples consider a second shooter for weddings with over 100 guests. Couples who are particularly interested in candid shots that reflect your emotions should think about having a second photographer, even if they have fewer than 100 guests. When I shoot a wedding on my own, you can be sure that I won't miss any of the traditional moments of the day, but by letting my second photographer handle those, I can focus on capturing more artistic images and pay attention to all of your guests.

Light and airy wedding photography in The Madison Hotel

MY VENUE IS ASKING ME POR A PHOTOGRAPHER WITH INSURANCE. DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?

Sure! I have full liability insurance. I can provide a COI on fairly short notice to your venue if they request it, so relax and I'll take care of all of those boring details.

DO YOU HAVE BACK-UP GEAR?

I have a backup of everything! Not only do I have two of every piece of equipment, I also compile a list of all the most important details of the wedding based on all of our prior communication and a master schedule of the day's events. I also keep your photos backed up in three separate locations for at least one year after your wedding. Part of offering you a relaxed and fun experience is being able to take care of all of your concerns.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?

My recommendation is that if you have reserved a venue, don't wait any more. Generally, spring and fall dates are the first to get all booked up well in advance, but honestly you can never know if someone else wants to book me for the exact same date as you. I have even had clients who have paid my retainer before reserving the venue just to be sure I would be available for them.

HOW DO I BOOK WITH YOU?

I reserve your date upon receipt of a signed contract and a 30% retainer. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before the date of your wedding.

DO YOU DO WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY?

Even though I have a background in film, I'm now 100% focused on photography and I owe it to you to devote my full attention to creating beautiful still images of your wedding. But, after a couple of years working with different videographers, I have a dream team of associates who can cover your videography needs and make it work for your budget. Our clients appreciate the stylistic similarities that we achieve between the photos and the video by working together.

Engagement Session in Central Park

DO YOU DO ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY IN NEW YORK?

Absolutely. Elopements can be the most relaxed and romantic ceremonies. Elopements in Central Park are a specialty of mine, and I would be happy to help you find other locations if you're looking for something more original. I'm also very familiar with some great locations in Brooklyn.

DO YOU DO WEDDINGS AT CITY HALL IN MANHATTAN?

Of course! I love intimate city hall weddings. After the ceremony, we can take photos in some iconic downtown locations.

DO YOU TRAVEL? YES!

My second photographer and I love traveling and we will do everything possible to be a part of your wedding or elopement anywhere in the world! We do our best to keep our travel fees as low as possible. If you love to travel and have a trip planned, we can make arrangements to go wherever you are going and do your engagement session in an exotic location!
