Natalia & Michael - Romantic Central Park Elopement

Updated: Aug 23, 2023

Many years ago, when I had only recently moved to Manhattan, I met Natalia. She and her twin sister, Adriana, were everything that you imagine when you think of Venezuelan women: cheerful, hard-working, family-oriented with a huge community of friends. Of course, after working with them in just one session, I was adopted into their friend group. As years went by, we began working together too, because Natalia is a decorator and event planner. We have shared many weddings together in one of our favorite locations for New York weddings: Central Park.

During the summer of 2020, Natalia married Mike and since their official wedding plans had to be postponed because of the pandemic, they decided to have a small civil ceremony where the only people present were their witnesses. Still, we both knew that we couldn’t let the pandemic keep us from taking the photos of our dreams (and Mike’s dreams too, I guess, but really the bride and the photographer are the most important people in this story, LOL) so we decided to take an afternoon to do an elopement session at Conservatory Garden.

We had a blast and the session was a big success. Aside from the fact that all our friends and the families of the bride and groom loved the portraits, they’ve also been published in several blogs and magazines. It brings me pride and joy to know that future couples will be looking at my photos of these two lovely people for ideas and inspiration.

Thanks Nati and Mike for always trusting me!
